Couple weeks ago a customer came in with a trail with no marker lights no turn signals on the side of the trailer. All the back lights on the door worked though. So I did my trouble shooting I always start by checking the power cord by opening it up and making sure all the wires look good. So then I got under the trailer and examined how the wiring looked. All the lights had a hot wire and the light was grounded by the bolt going through the side rails. I have seen many times when the ground is run like that the side rail gets very dirty and coroded. Then I checked for power in the first light at the front of the trailer no power of course. Then I checked a middle light which had a butt connector in it and it was all green and coroded. So I found my problem there. Basically after further looking into the wiring I realized it was easier just to run new wire for the entire side up and down both sides. It took about 5 hours to rewire everything but it all worked good. Pictures......
No lights working.
Bad butt connector
Bad groundAlso I recently did a heater core job for the bunk heater. The o ring on the return line for the coolant was bad but we replaced the heater core as well. But the way we drained the ac Freon is what i would like to talk about. IT WAS THE VERY WRONG WAY. We didn't have the ac machine. So we drained the ac Freon into a container. Which is pretty dangerous. Picture.....
That is how i was told to drain the Freon.
I also did a oil pan gasket job couple days ago that i did not get a chance to take a picture of but the gasket had leaked. And then i changed a door hinge on a truck. Pictures....
Unhooked the wiring and everything else.
And one day i was called out to Everett because the back of brake can exploded on a trailer. I fixed this out at a truck stop. Here is a picture.
